Our family reads A LOT of children’s books together and we especially like night-time wind down stories of which Scholastic Books has a great collection. I have books upon children’s books memorized and so does my non-reader daughter. When I heard about the Sleepytime story DVD collection with 6 great nighttime Scholastic books of Storybook treasures I thought it would be a fantastic pre-wind-down time before bath to get her brain into nighttime mode. The great things about these videos are that you can READ with the books while watching the DVD. Yes! I love that. Right now, I only own two of the seven books mentioned on the DVD, but plan to get the rest. We absolutely love Good Night, Gorilla and Zin! Zin! Zine A Violin and the videos did not disappoint and use the exact illustrations and words from the book. The other videos make us want to buy the other books to read along since they are very cute and award-winning classic stories brought to life by video. This is really is a perfect wind-down time video before Brooke’s bath and it’s nice since you can limit the watching to one book per night. Highly recommended!
