Its summer season which also means it is bug season! Being a relatively recent Texas transplant; the size and amount of bugs that appear when the weather gets warm is almost like living in a real bug horror story. Flying cockroaches, mosquitoes the size of your fist and the dreaded swarm of crickets (and don’t even get me STARTED on fire ants) really makes me wonder why the “everything is bigger in Texas slogan’ is a proud motto when it comes to these gruesome insects. Luckily, bugs tend to leave me alone, but my husband and daughter are in a battle zone when it comes to spending time in the great outdoors. As the pseudo hippy-dippy all natural types it has been difficult to find a product that would help our daughter repel these creatures without soaking harmful chemicals into her skin. Until now!
