Product Review: La Bella Stella CD (All Ages)
The Sky is No Limit, It’s Just the Beginning.
We are music obsessed in our household and we are always looking for fun and educational albums to listen to as a family. La Bella Stella is the new fifth release of the award-winning series from Recess Music called Celebrate Earth. It caught my eye because it is a children’s album that focuses on galaxies, solar systems and the fun and interesting aspects of our universe through song. Yes, please! As you may have gathered from my previous reviews, my daughter loves to hear and talk about the stars, planets and the galaxies, so I knew she would love this CD. This is a compilation album with many unique and interesting artists that help educate and entertain our children through songs like ‘Aurora Borealis’ and ‘Harmony of the Spheres’. Many of the songs are quite happy and danceable while others are more relaxing and harmonious (we love ‘Nature’s Lullaby’). If your child is curious about astronomy, or you would like a nice window to talk about and enjoy these educational songs together, you will not be disappointed with this CD. Plus who doesn’t love a song about the discovery and ultimate demotion of the one-time planet Pluto? Brilliant! Another bonus is that a portion of the CD sale proceeds go to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, a learning center of science.
