Product Review: Children from Australia to Zimbabwe {Hardcover} (Geared for Ages 8-11)
A Photographic Journey around the World
If you want to give your child a book that offers a visually appealing global perspective of their peers, look no further than Children from Australia to Zimbabwe. The pictures in this book are absolutely stunning and it has fun facts, maps and interesting text that are great for even very young children. I love that the book goes through each letter of the alphabet to talk about one country that starts with that letter in greater detail. There are two pages dedicated to each country that include the gorgeous photos of local children, a picture of the country flag and several interesting details like the number of children who live there and an environmental fact. Other countries that start with each letter are listed on the bottom page for reference. I got a good laugh at the one imaginary country of Xanadu (sadly, there are no countries that start with X) and found the lovely make-believe facts (Xanadu’s languages are Kindness and Respect) to be refreshing. I will include the 26 countries below that are highlighted in this book for your reference. This book is informative and a beautiful, fun adventure for our kids to learn how children live around our globe.
