Since 1991, the Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta mission statement has been to produce entertaining and educational music of the highest quality for growing families, educators and early childcare providers. The founder and singer/songwriter, Katherine Dines, took the name from the special way her Granny would let the family know that lunch was ready (you must read the whole story here. Hilarious!)! Just released in February, Katherine’s 11th album, Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta HITS, is a greatest hits feature of her 15 most requested song favorites for families. Not only has Katherine won many awards with her music, her songs have also been Grammy-nominated! Wow! If you want a fun and easy-on-adult-ears music that is also great for kids then you must check out this greatest hits CD from Katherine. This actually reminds me of music I listened to while growing up (my mom played guitar and sang similar songs to me) and offers elements of folk, bluegrass and even a little celtic in the mix. The lyrics are fun and I find myself humming the song ‘Muscle and Bone’ around the house now. Mommas, do not miss Track 06 which features the song ‘Dad On Diaper Duty’. Love!
