Product Review: Crunch A Color The Healthy Eating Game (Age 4+)
Fill your plate with color!
I am always on the lookout for fun ways for kids to want to eat healthy food, especially veggies. If we want to help the health of the next generation, it needs to start in our own homes. Bob and I are excited to eat healthy organic food and we make time to create nutritional meals at home. It is not always simple or financially easy (ouch!), but we feel it is important enough to make those sacrifices. One great way to create that excitement for kids is with a fun game with just enough competitive edge suitable for a family meal like Crunch a Color’s The Healthy Eating Game. Healthy eating is a reward in itself, but it does add an extra layer of fun when you have a chance to score points with your family!
Crunch A Color is a 2 to 4 player card game that is ideal for families to play together during mealtime. It is simple enough for players as young as 4 to join in on the fun. Players earn points through eating servings of vegetables (for example, a player gets a 10-point green card for broccoli), fruits proteins and grains. Extra points are earned for trying new foods and having good table manners! In order to win (and everyone can win) you need to earn 30 points, 3 color cards and 1 protein card. This fun and simple game can be played in just one meal or over the course on an entire week with the included reward chart. An added bonus is that Crunch A Color is made on recycled paper. I have been talking with the creator Jennifer for several months for this review and the excitement is buzzing around this product and just recently she launched the sale through Pottery Barn Kids who now offers Crunch A Color nationwide!
Crunch A Color Gives Back! 5% of Crunch A Color’s net profits are donated to non-profit organizations that support children’s nutrition programs.
