Product Review: Nonna and Me ABC Bingo Game (Ages 2+)
Literacy starts with the ABCs. Children learn best when they’re having fun!
My daughter is ABC-crazy and I am always trying to find new ways to make the alphabet fun and interesting for her. I have tried to keep up with different activities and have the ABCs as tub toys, puzzles and refrigerator magnets. Brooke loves when I write the ABCs on our small little whiteboard and she can tell me which letter she wants me to erase. These alphabet games can get a little old for both of us after ongoing weeks of play. I was excited to see the Nonna and Me ABC Bingo Game as another alphabet avenue to explore for our early education fun.
The Nonna and Me ABCs Bingo Game is a twist on the old-fashioned game of Bingo made easy for kids to help with upper and lowercase alphabet letter matching. This 2 to 6 player game includes 6 numbered lowercase game boards of 6 squares and 36 uppercase letter cards with the objective of being the first player to match and cover all 6 of the letter squares on your board. After shuffling, each player draws the first card in the pile, says the name of the letter on the card and places the letter on their board if they have a match. A discard pile is created for non-matches and players draw until someone wins. A tip from Nonna and Me is to keep playing the game until the boards of all players are covered so that more matching alphabet letters are covered with your child. I found the game to be fun and simple and found it just as fun to have all the boards out at the same time to play as a collective team with my toddler daughter and that worked great.
