Product Review: Intellitec LPL822 Mini LED “Wash & Brush” Timer (Toddler+)
When you explain to a toddler that doctors recommend washing hands for 20 seconds and brushing teeth for 2 minutes for proper hygiene they don’t seem to really understand the concept of time. Heck, I don’t even know if I go the full 2 minutes of recommended brushing at times. It is not like I set a timer; until now. I personally could not resist getting the Intellitec LPL822 Mini LED “Wash & Brush” Timer and this is a purchase that I love.
The Intellitec LPL822 Mini LED “Wash & Brush” Timer is such a simple product I feel a little silly to have to explain it. It is a two-in-one timer with a light-up LED light for both brushing your teeth and washing your hands. When ready, press either the ‘Wash’ or ‘Brush’ icon button and the LED Light/Timer starts to blink in a green color. As the timer progresses it blinks faster until it turns red to indicate you can stop the task and will automatically shut off. The timer also features a Reset button to reset the unit in case you press the wrong button or want to start over. The product takes 3 AAA batteries and has a two year limited warranty with Lancer & Loader. The only issue we have had with this timer is mounting problems. Since we rent, I did not want to screw the timer into the wall and the suction cups don’t work for mounting in our bathroom. I have solved the problem by using 3M adhesive strips and mounted it close to the end of our counter for easy toddler access. We are very happy with this proper hygiene timer product, Brooke is fascinated with using it and I actually purchased it when it was on deep discount through Amazon.com so it was literally just a few dollars to get.
