Product Review: Endangered Species Animal World Bath Set (Toddler+)
Supporting Endangered Species with Playful, Innovative, and Environmentally Conscious Products for Children
I learned a lot about the endangered species of Texas when I worked as an administrative team supervisor for the Fish and Wildlife Service. I spent one Earth Day several years ago birding and spotting three golden-cheeked warblers, one of the most at-risk species in North America. These birds breed exclusively on or near the Edwards Plateau of central Texas which was really amazing to me. While I thought I understood the concept of ‘extinct’, it did not really fully click until I got to see these beautiful birds with a very distinct call in person. Protecting species like the golden-cheeked warbler from vanishing from our planet just seems like the right thing to do and I wanted to introduce the concept to my daughter in a fun way.
The Endangered Species Bath Set by Health Science Labs is a guilt-free product and designed so that your children get clean with the added bonus of learning about endangered species. The set includes bubble bath that is hypoallergenic (yummy berry smell, too!) and has 6 colorful bath crayons, 4 bath coloring scenes, 2 sponges to be used as erasers and a mesh storage bag. The bath crayons are sulfate, no roll and dye-free made from paraben. The bath scenes are made from biodegradable Stone Paper. The packaging is made from recycled material and printed with soy ink and 100% recyclable. Brooke loved being able to color the bath scenes (and our tub!) with toxin free crayons and her momma was happy to talk to her about the endangered species! While it may not fully sink in to her until she gets an ah-ha golden-cheeked warbler moment when she is older, I am happy to be able to introduce this concept through an Endangered Species product.
