Product Review: Alma’s Designs ‘Let’s Count’ Wall Hanger (Ages: 3 yrs +)
I have a special place in my heart for handmade soft toy early educational products and Alma’s Designs (www.almasdesigns.com) is a company that fits that bill. Alma’s has so many unique educational products, but the focus on this review is the Let’s Count wall hanger. The recommended age is 3 years + and it features a colorful wall hanging with detachable Velcro items (one apple, two kites, etc) to match up to the correct number on the chart.
This counting activity is an enjoyable way to work on counting skills with your child. It offers an interactive way to visualize counting totals through everyday items. Also, as noted in the product information, the wall hanger helps to build a child’s motor skills by adding items to the chart and social skills through the child working and interacting with an adult to complete the activity. Plus, those cute little 9 mushrooms on Brooke’s chart are just so adorable; you just have to see them. Anyone out there with sewing skills must check it out. For those that do not (like myself), it is a cute homemade look if you can’t do the real thing.
